Hi, I wanted to say “THANK YOU”! I’ve been looking for a rectangle pattern to make a blanket out of (something that starts in the center, works it’s way out so as to size it to each person). Your pattern is great, one that’s “neat/clean”, and works up really well. So far, I’ve only used the granny part and will edge it with the sc/dc when I’m done. I am using regular yarn with an H hook.

I know exactly what you mean. I find I am the same way and often “reward” myself with my crafting after doing things I feel need to get done first. I am sure I won’t remember the dishes that didn’t get done on that Sunday in October of 2011 but I do often pull out things I have made and smile. I also love when people make a comment on a hat I made for one of my kids and that feeling is better than the feeling that I have when I get the dishes done.

A lot of us have gone through the “I’ve got something to say, dangit” phase; not everyone persists, but I’m grateful for those that do. That’s all the motivation I had, entirely too many years ago, and somehow, I’m still around.
