Love granny squares but find them exhausting? Adore a log cabin but feel like they work up too slowly?
This pattern is for you.
This combination of the two classics works up quickly, looks sharp, and pays homage to the granny without being square. It’s also lovely to snuggle up under after a long day out.
This is a *crochet pattern* in .pdf format (and U.S. notation) for making one of the blankets pictured. You’ll also need around 2000 yards of a soft worsted weight yarn, a size H (5.00 mm) crochet hook (or yarn and appropriate hook of choice), a tapestry needle for weaving in your ends, and a safety pin or scrap of yarn for marking the right side of your work. The finished blanket is approximately 48 by 60 inches (122 by 152 cm).
